Easy Chow Mein Recipe in just 14 Minutes

Hi Foodiez!!

The food which will make you stand for a long time in a queue in food street without regretting and loving to watch the preparation, the mouthwatering dish; Chow Mein. Personally, this dish is a love for everyone, it makes me wonder how vegetables perfectly blend with noodles; just like a perfect marriage!
I wonder how people struggle to make it done easily and with less time in restaurant style. So here is the recipe which will help to prepare in just 14 minutes like a restaurant-style taste.

Let's start with the recipe

Ingredients

  1. 200gm Instant Chow Mien Noodle (Veg/ Egg)
  2. 1 medium size Carrot, thinly sliced
  3. Some French Beans, chopped
  4. 1 Cup Shredded Cabbage
  5. 1 Capsicum, thinly sliced
  6. 1 Onion, sliced
  7. 2 Eggs
  8. 1 Teaspoon Ginger and Garlic paste
  9. 1/2 Teaspoon of Garam Masala to taste
  10. 1 Teaspoon of Red Chilli Powder
  11. 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  12. Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  13. Oil as required

Now let's get our hand on making Chow Mein Noodle!!

  1. Bring 5-6 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Add chow mein noodles along with a teaspoon of salt and a few drops of oil. Boil it for 3-4 minutes until it is almost cooked. Then drain and transfer the noodles to a bowl.
  2. In the meantime, thinly slice the onions, carrots, cabbage, and capsicum. The cooking time for making vegetables is very less, so you need to keep everything ready before you start cooking.
  3. Heat some oil in a deep pan. When the oil is hot, add sliced onion, stir until it becomes translucent. Add whisked egg with a pinch of salt and stir until it's cooked well- take the scrambled egg into a bowl.
  4. Add oil in the same pan. When the oil is hot, add ginger and garlic paste and stir for a couple of seconds. It shouldn't turn brown, otherwise, it may lead to a slightly bitter taste.
  5. Add all the veggies( Carrot, Capsicum, Cabbage, and Beans) and salt to taste into the pan; all the veggies should be stirred continuously on high flame such that veggies will get little soften; make sure that the veggies shouldn't burn and neither it should be over cooked
  6. Food Mystique Pinch of Salt (Note): The veggies should be half cooked , you will get the little crunch in your chow mein.
  7. Add boiled chow mein into the pan. Mix it well, add Scrambled egg,2 Teaspoon of light Soy Sauce, Red Chilli Powder to your spice level, Garam Masala and pepper powder and mix it well again such that everything is coated evenly onto chowmein
  8. Stir the Chow mein for 2 minutes on high flames
  9. Egg Chow Mein is ready! Serve it hot with tomato sauce.
